" Dear Professor Farr,

It is a rare blessing to meet someone who can change how one perceives the world. I have been fortunate enough to have met such a person in my last semester here. It seems fate had ironically saved the best for last. Although I shall carry your insight into design throughout my career, what I will remember most will be our conversations on life, philosophy, and the human condition. Throughout my long academic career I have experienced a multitude of different teachers and styles of teaching. Rarely do I meet someone that is born to teach. You have a rare gift — the gift to read the individual and not the syllabus. I envy the future generations of students that you will have, for they will get to experience your wisdom as I once have You have guided me through some troubled times. I shall forever be grateful for your guidance.Thank you for your patience. Thank you for your wisdom. Most of all, thank you for changing how I view life. I hope I can one day live up to your many teachings and make you and this university proud. It has been an honor and a privilege.

Sincerely, "

Words That Stayed With Me

Over the years, students have shared reflections that speak to the impact of our work together. A few examples included in here highlight how they experienced our conversations, studios, and collaborations. Their words, thoughtful, candid, and personal, represent the most meaningful measure of my impact: moments where learning becomes transformative and deeply human.
